Half-Pint Tavern Vanished: WoW Forever's Deleted Dungeon

2 November 2026 · Short · Watch on YouTube

Datamined, not announced: early in the WoW Forever beta, the game data held a five-player dungeon called Half-Pint Tavern (map 3002), tuned for roughly levels 32 to 36, with two encounters, Deathulus (listed as undead) and Crushfist Bloodbreaker. Its trees are wooden props from Karazhan's opera event. A couple of weeks into the beta, a client update removed the map. Blizzard has said nothing either way. An obituary for one of hers, and one request: put it in a patch, or say it's gone.

Obituaries — the dungeon

There was a five-player dungeon in the WoW Forever beta called Half-Pint Tavern1, and then there wasn't. Datamined, never announced. Seven-Twenty Zone watched it go5:

Obituaries — survived by

It had two bosses, and one of them, Deathulus2, is down in the data as undead3. One of mine, laid off before launch.

Obituaries — the set

The trees aren't even trees, they're wooden props from the Karazhan opera4, so the forest was acting.

Obituaries — cause of death

I ran Scarlet Monastery at thirty-four till the dogs knew my name, and I'd have swapped one run for a tavern. Cause of death: a client update. Put it in a patch, you lot, or say it's gone.

I'll be here. Forever.
